The Supreme Court heard several identical petitions by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan and others to investigate charges of corruption against Sharif and his relatives. "In PPP's regime Wali Khan had threatened to lockdown the KP but the government settled all the matters with him on table", he said, adding that more measures are required to rescue the country from corruption and the tenure of government should be reduced from 5 to 4 years. Gordhan has refused to ask for a review. "Investigations are yet to be finalized and the national director of public prosecutions is yet to make a decision on all three accused ", he said, referring to Shaun Abrahams. "Will I resign? I certainly will not", he told journalists when asked if he would step down. UNESCO's executive board is voting Tuesday on a resolution that Israel says denies the deep historic Jewish connection to holy sites in Jerusalem and that has angered Israel's government and many Jews around the world. On Friday, Israel suspended "all professional activities" with UNESCO over the draft decision which "deeply deplores" Israeli actions in Jerusalem and refers to the nation as an "occupying power".
