Kirk, the incumbent U.S. Senator from IL, was engaged in the second of three debates with Rep. Tammy Duckworth , a U.S. Army veteran who lost both of her legs in the Iraqi war, the Chicago Tribune reported. Kirk's questioning of Duckworth's family's military service is especially confusing in light of the fact that he has faced questions in the past over how he has presented his own military service, according to CNN. The court handles cases on crimes against humanity and most recently a judgment against the destruction of World Heritage in Timbuktu, Mali.
