As per the data showed by the American Petroleum Institute, the stocks of us crude have increased by 2.8 million barrels in the week to 511.4 million. crude futures. The declines were good news for oil markets , where prices have trended lower recently over concerns that rising USA production is offsetting output cuts by OPEC and other major producers and keeping global markets awash in oil. However, U.S. crude production rose to 9.34 million bpd last week, up almost 500,000 bpd from a year ago. At the end of past year, OPEC and 11 countries outside the cartel agreed to withdraw 1.8 mln barrels per day from the oil market in the first half of 2017. (more...)

In Q4, bad loan additions were more than Rs. 11,000 crore for which the bank has to make a provision of Rs. 2,898 crore as compared with Rs. 3,326 crore. The bank declared a dividend of Rs 2.50 per equity share. Private sector lender ICICI Bank has warned of higher provisions in fiscal 2018 due to the uncertainties in resolving bad loans and a possible spike in the money to be set aside for standard assets in troubled sectors which may crimp its margins by around 100 bps. The UFC sent out a press release yesterday announcing the creation of a new women's 125lb flyweight division, only to then backtrack just a few hours later by stating that it's not actually been finalized yet. In addition, the UFC is holding open tryouts for the reality show May 23 in Las Vegas. The trade gap with Mexico has surged almost 14% this year compared to the first quarter of 2016, hitting the highest level since November 2007.
