The Secret Service is investigating, and that by itself could lead to a forced resignation.

"I think the majority of the Democratic Party is going about their business, not really paying attention to what one random state senator from Missouri", the second guest replied. "Maria Chappelle-Nadal because she stands with us".

A Missouri state senator says she made a "mistake" with a Facebook post that said that she "hoped" President Trump would be assassinated.

"I made a mistake", she said.

"State Senator Chappelle-Nadal's comments are indefensible", Missouri Democratic Party Chairman Stephen Webber said in a statement, according to Fox News.

Understandably the comment drew widespread condemnation.

"Maria Chappelle-Nadal has a long and troubled history of making vulgar, obscene and completely irresponsible statements".

Amid the response from her quickly deleted remark, she said she doesn't want to see the president assassinated. This is a very racially insensitive statement that has no place in our society.

He also wondered what the response might be if a Republican had said what Chappelle-Nadal did.

Divers search flooded USS John S. McCain; sailors still missing
The collision is the second by a United States ship with a civilian vessel in the Seventh Fleet area of operations this summer. It was the fourth accident involving US warships in the western Pacific this year.

"It is a total disgrace for the Senator to call for the assassination of the President or any elected official".

"President Trump, I apologise to you and your family", she added.

The same man sharing the screenshot, talk show host Mark Reardon of KMOX, said Chappelle-Nadal "refused to apologize" when interviewed on Thursday. Claire McCaskill, have demanded that she resign.

Before Sunday's apology, Ms Chappelle-Nadal had only called the Facebook post "improper" and claimed she was being targeted by the governor and other officeholders because of political expediency or grudges.

She has repeatedly demeaned her office and she is an embarrassment to our state.

Missouri Lt. Gov. Mike Parson (R), who is also president of the state Senate, said he plans to do just that if Chappelle-Nadal doesn't step down.

Gov. Eric Greitens (R) posted this comments on his Facebook page also saying the Senator should resign.

On Sunday, Chappelle-Nadal gave no indication that she was going to resign. "She came down hard on police for their actions in Ferguson and accused fellow lawmakers of white privilege if they dared introduce legislation without her input", Costello reminded viewers.

Greitens is a Republican and a former Navy SEAL.
