Sensex closes flat after reaching an all-time high, Nifty ends 3 points lower

It finally ended 152.53 points, or 0.49% lower at 31,138.21.

Asian shares flatlined on Friday but remained on track for a weekly gain, while crude oil prices pulled away from this week's 10-month lows.

The benchmark BSE Sensex was down 43 points or 0.14 percent at 31,247 while the broader Nifty index was down 28 points or 0.29 percent at 9,601.

The 30-share index was up 220.49 points or 0.7 percent at 31,504.13.
