Two areas to watch for tropical development

Daily Rain and Storms

Currently, the National Hurricane Center has an 80% chance this becomes at least a Tropical Depression in the next 2 days as it continues a northwestward track. There's a 60% chance of the storm being named in the next 5 days. The NHC said thunderstorm activity associated with the weather system "continues to show signs of organization, and additional development is likely during the next day or so".

Potential Tropical Cyclone Two may be an outlier that is only joined by a few tropical systems that have formed in June in the open Atlantic.

A low-pressure system in the Gulf of Mexico could be the first storm to threaten Florida during the 2017 hurricane season.

An Air Force Reserve Hurricane Hunter aircraft is scheduled to investigate this system Monday afternoon, if necessary.

"The system east of the Caribbean is nothing for us to worry about". The metros (and surrounding suburbs) of New Orleans and Houston could see large impacts from this system depending on the exact track.

It is forecast to move into the Gulf of Mexico this week and will have a high chance to develop as well.

Trump administration order threatens quality apprenticeships for NC workers
Earlier this year, Trump accepted a challenge to create 5 million new apprenticeships, according to the news outlet. Trump also took a tour of the school that included a stop at a classroom filled with tool and die machines.

There is also another disturbance in the Atlantic Ocean the NHC is keeping tabs on.

The hurricane season, which doesn't end till November 30, is expected to be rougher than usual, with 11 to 17 named storms likely to strike.

RAINFALL: The disturbance is expected to produce total rain accumulations of 4 to 8 inches with isolated maximum amounts of 10 inches over southeastern Louisiana, southern MS and Alabama, and the western Florida Panhandle through Wednesday evening.

This potential tropical cyclone is expected to intensify into a tropical cyclone on Monday.

The next two hurricane names would be Bret and Cindy.

The areas that would be affected by this storm include Barbados, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Trinidad, Tobago and Grenada.
