Texas Republicans love Trump and Democrats don't, new poll shows — Surprise

Poll shows most doubt Trump's respect for institutions

Almost two-thirds of Americans say they disapprove President Trump's job performance, a new poll released Friday shows.

Of Trump, Denmon said: "He doesn't care about the process".

Rassmussen Reports' poll was taken between June 13 and June 15, and it notes that is "the first time the president's overall approval rating has hit the 50% mark since late April" with the highest rating being approval being 59 percent in late January shortly after he took office, and as low of 42 percent in early April.

Altogether, 80 percent of Republicans approve of the job Trump is doing, and 90 percent of Democrats disapprove. Even 33 percent of Republicans disapprove of his handling of the issue. "This is counter puncher Donald Trump's pivotal moment to get up off the mat", said Tim Malloy, assistant director of the Quinnipiac University poll. "They continue to embrace him".

What do you think of President Trump's performance and the FBI's handling of the Russian Federation investigation? Among Democrats, the numbers flipped: 75 percent said the Russians influenced the election, and 9 percent said that didn't happen.

Among all respondents, 53 percent said Trump was honest and 55 percent said he was trustworthy. Once again, the answers were colored by party affiliation: 74 percent of Democratic voters said yes, while 80 percent of Republican voters said no. Overall, just 24 percent of Americans are pleased with the direction the country is heading, the lowest point since July of previous year when the figure plunged after a series of police-involved shootings.

The other source of potential weakening support for Trump, which stretches back to the presidential campaign, are his personal qualities. Of the House proposal, 20 percent of Texas voters hold a favorable view and 51 percent have an unfavorable view.

Fans line up early for Warriors celebration
In 2016, one of the NBA's unprotesting players received a ton of flack from fans and commentators for a game-changing move. So he and a friend headed to Oakland and snagged a prime spot along the Warriors parade route by 3 a.m.

In the June poll, only 15 percent of Republicans had a favorable view of Russian Federation, while 45 percent had an unfavorable view.

Russian Federation isn't popular in Texas, but it's less popular with Democrats.

Most Texans take a dim view of Russian Federation - with only 11 percent holding a favorable view - but there is a partisan divide. The remaining 33 percent were either neutral or had no opinion.

Where 37 percent of voters have positive opinions of Cruz, 45 percent have unfavorable opinions. Nearly half of Texas voters - 49 percent - have "somewhat" or "very" unfavorable views of the ACA, while 51 percent put the House plan in that same category.

The margin of sampling error is +/- 2.5 percentage points with a 95 percent level of confidence. TAP HERE to read the full methodology. That's one point higher approval than last week. Coming Friday: Texans' views on the state's top politicians and on the economy and direction of the state.
