Obong of Calabar confers chieftaincy title on Osinbajo

Acting President Yemi Osinbajo, SAN, has assured the people of Bakassi and government of Cross River that the Federal Government remains committed to addressing the plight of the displaced in Bakassi, in line with the Buhari presidency's policy on serving the interest of all Nigerians regardless of their affiliations.

On arrival at the airport, Acting President Osinbajo had inspected the guard of honour mounted by troops of the Army, Navy and Air Force before proceeding to the Palace of the Obong of Calabar for a brief interaction.

Heads of Key Parastatals and Agencies in the council are Mr Godwin Emefiele Governor, Central Bank of Nigeria, Dr Yemi Kale Statistician-General of the Federation, Mr Olukayode Pitan MD, Bank of Industry, Mr Segun Awolowo, CEO Nigerian Export Promotion Council, Ms Yewande Sadiku, Executive Secretary Nigeria Investment Promotion Council and Amb.

The acting president later performed the ground-breaking ceremony of Cross River Rice City Project and inaugurated the Calabar Garment Factory, all situated inside the park.

"It tells us of what the future holds for the people of this state". When people speak of Nigeria, it is because of its diversity.
