Jack Nicklaus says Tiger Woods 'needs our help'

Tiger Woods DUI

Smith had some choice words for Tiger Woods following the golfer's DUI arrest Monday.

"I feel bad for Tiger", he said.

Say what? Elin Nordegren is said to be super furious at her ex-husband Tiger Woods, but it's not what you might think. He needs our help. I asked Woods if he wished to tie his shoes and he originally stated no that he could not get down that far.

"I'm concerned about him", said Steve Stricker, the Presidents Cup captain who chose Woods as one of his assistants.

Woods was heading south, away from his Jupiter Island home, before his arrest at about 3 a.m. (0700 GMT) on Monday, according to the report. "I didn't realize the mix of medications had affected me so strongly", he said.

Tiger Woods was asleep at the wheel but had no alcohol in his system when officers spotted his vehicle stopped along a Florida road, according to a police affidavit that knocked down earlier reports his breath smelled of alcohol.

"When healed, I look forward to getting back to a normal life, playing with my kids, competing in professional golf and living without the pain I have been battling so long", he said.

Hamilton: I sensed Vettel was angry
Daniel Ricciardo brought his Red Bull across in a distant third place to complete the podium, his best result of the season. Pulling out a small lead, Hamilton eventually began chipping away at the Ferrari's advantage.

A police report lists four medications, including Vicodin, that Tiger Woods reported taking when he was stopped for DUI.

He underwent fusion surgery on his back more than a month ago, his fourth operation since 2014. Torix and Vioxx are anti-inflammatory medications; Vicodin a painkiller. This Woods was found asleep in his damaged Mercedes in the dead of night, with his brake lights on, his right blinker flashing, his bumpers banged up, and his two driver-side tires flat. Inside, Palladino found Woods asleep behind the wheel. "Woods had extremely slow and slurred speech".

"I fully co-operated with law enforcement, and I would like to personally thank the representatives of the Jupiter Police Department and the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office for their professionalism".

Police also observed damage to the bumper on the driver's side, white scrapes and scuffs on the rear bumper, and the passenger side rear taillight was not working, according to the documents. In the incident report filed by the four officers at the scene, Woods kept dozing off even after his initial contact with police. Woods tried to tie his shoes by placing his foot on the grill of the cruiser and almost lost his balance, and eventually he just took them off. A breathalyzer test registered.000 and toxicology results, as well as those from a urine test, were not yet available. He was released later on his own recognizance.

He is scheduled to be arraigned July 5.

He was cited for DUI and improper parking, and records said there was no crash or damage to any property. He was alone in the auto. Woods had said on his website last week that he would not be able to twist his back for three months because of his surgery.

Woods is considered the world's greatest golfer, winning 14 majors and 79 career victories on the PGA tour.
