Trump hits out at 'fake news' following Kushner reports

"I will tell you that my dashboard warning light was clearly on, and I think that was the case with all of us in the intelligence community", Clapper said Sunday on NBC's "Meet The Press".

Back home from Europe, President Donald Trump took to Twitter Sunday morning to blast recent recent news reports about coverage of the Russian investigation and a Montana congressional race.

Kushner flew back to Washington before Trump's intercontinental jaunt was over to deal with the fallout from news of undisclosed meetings with Sergey Kislyak and an attempt to set up a secret backchannel with the Russians.

"It's both normal, in my opinion, and acceptable", Kelly said.

Even when authorized, however, top officials in the Trump White House frequently request anonymity to brief reporters "on background", meaning their names will not be disclosed.

But the said official did not address the Kushner reports Saturday. The newspaper cited anonymous USA officials who were briefed on intelligence reports on intercepted Russian communications.

Schiff said he could neither confirm nor deny the allegations against Kushner, but if they are accurate, "it's obviously very concerning".

She and Younes had first been linked in October past year , following the male model's split with his ex Jourdan Dunn. Disick and Thorne have been spotted groping each other in Cannes this week and it's pretty unpleasant to look at.

At a meeting with Benjamin Netanyahu, a reporter asked the Israeli Prime Minister if he still trusted USA authorities with sensitive intelligence following reports that Mr Trump had shared secret intel from Israel with the Russians during an Oval Office meeting. Kushner, who is married to Trump's daughter Ivanka, is now a senior White House adviser with wide-ranging foreign policy and domestic duties. Senator Bob Corker, chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee, noted that Kushner has been willing to answer questions. "It allows you to communicate in a discreet manner".

The Associated Press and other news organizations reported that Kushner in December proposed a back channel between the Kremlin and the Trump transition team. Debbie Wasserman Schultz, who was at the time the head of the Democratic National Committee, in which she said someone in the Department of Justice told her Attorney General Loretta Lynch was containing the investigation into Hillary Clinton's email practices as secretary of state. And the top Democrat on the House Intelligence Committee, Rep. Adam Schiff, Calif., suggested that Kushner's security clearance should be reviewed.

South Carolina Senator Lindsey Graham has said that former FBI Director James Comey "needs to be held accountable" if reports are true that he acted on a Russian email he knew to be fake. "If not, than there's no way he can maintain that kind of a clearance".

The president, who has often weighed in angrily about stories suggesting ties between his campaign officials and Russian Federation, has not responded specifically to the Kushner allegations.

Trump's Sunday mini tweet storm represented a return to form for a president who largely refrained from tweeting anything provocative or controversial during his trip overseas last week.

US President Donald Trump has accused media outlets of "fabricating" much of the news they publish about the White House and inventing anonymous sources on which the reports are ostensibly based.

Kushner boasts an enormous portfolio of domestic and global responsibilities underscoring his importance as Trump's chief aide-de-camp, despite having no experience in politics before the 2016 White House race.
