Cloudy skies and rain to start the work week, with cool temps

Storm Team 9: watch out for a passing afternoon shower today

Highs will be warmer in the upper 70s to around 80° but certainly could be cooler if there's more rain that keeps temperatures cooler.

East winds at 5-10 miles per hour. A cold front traverses the area tonight, bringing renewed rainfall.

Monday: Cloudy with showers and possible thunderstorms (70%). We are mostly cloudy and dry through midnight, whereafter showers will begin to move into the area from the west. Rain showers continue overnight, with mild temperatures ranging from 55 to 60 degrees and a southeast wind at about 10 miles per hour.

Rain is expected to taper off overnight, but clouds will remain for much of Tuesday before more showers fall again Tuesday night into Wednesday. The first system will move into the area Monday morning, bringing showers and storms along with it.

United Nations Security Council vows sanctions over North Korea's missile test

As a result, Central New York will go from cloudy with a few showers this morning to some sun before the day is done. Periods of rain are likely on Thursday with lingering showers continuing into Friday. West winds will also boost temperatures into the 70s!

We're expecting a rainy and cool day with highs in the mid-60s south and low 60s north. Winds will turn southerly on Saturday into Sunday and then southeasterly on Memorial Day.

Storms returns on and off Friday-Sunday but as mentioned above it won't rain the entire time and there are some slight differences in the models so while you shouldn't cancel any outdoor plans, still pay close attention to the forecast for any changes to the point where you might need to alter plans. We will keep a watch all this week regarding this weekend's weather.
