Hayden was instantly given help on the spot of the accident, and later transferred to the nearby hospital where he is still in critical condition and fighting for his life.

Hayden popularly known as the "Kentucky Kid" won the MotoGP world championship in 2006 with the Repsol Honda team denying Valentino Rossi a sixth consecutive title.
